Epson isn't very good at telling you which ones are important. I installed all the software v5500 with the which consisted of the regular supplied company software and SilverFast SE. I installed just the Epson CD and everything eson to be working fine. I am heavy into retouching and restoration of photos as it is a sizable part of my photo business.
